LEARKA, JSC successfully continued the tradition of the former only Czechoslovak producer of pigments and fillers (Hrušovské chemické závody, n. p.)
The factory first produced soda, sulfuric acid and chlorine, later chlorinated lime. Its high quality products competed with production of the chemical plants in France, Belgium and England and the Hrušov chemical plants became the largest chemical plant in Austria-Hungary. Nitric acid, formic acid, titanium white, blanc fixe, iron pigments and lithopone were also produced in Hrušov. Chemical production was quit in 1997.
